Avoid Like The Plague

The spiders simply have trouble understanding pages with frames. And even if they do, chances are the individual frame pages will get indexed, so when a user goes to your site, they will not get the proper look you desire. Use of frames is a major no-no in positioning.

But If You Must…

If you still insist on using frames, at least make sure that in your frames page you have a <noframes></noframes> tag. In that tag, you should place the content of your page, including links, etc. as if they just could not see a frames page. Remember, this is only a solution if you absolutely refuse to give up frames. Even with this tag, you are at a heavy disadvantage.
